Umrah is a Sunnah and Muslims perform Umrah through out the year except from 5 days of the Hajj. Millions of Muslims travel to Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) to perform Umrah and the number is increasing every year. Umrah consists of Tawaf (circling the Ka’bah 7 times, having the Ka’bah on your left) and Sa’i ( walking between Safa and Marwah 7 times; starting at Safa and ending at Marwah). It is compulsory for a pilgrim to be in a state of Ihram during Umrah. Women must be accompanied by their Mahram, who is their companion; can be brother, husband or father. Only the Approved Umrah Travels agents by Ministry can issue Umrah Visas.
Why have Umrah Visa and Packages prices gone up?
عمرہ ویزہ اور پیکجز کی قیمتیں کیوں بڑھ گئیں؟
Umrah Visa prices compared to last year prices have gone up by almost 6 times due to Rate of exchange ( US dollars against Pakistan rupees has appreciated) and also increase in Visa Prices by the Saudi Ministry. It is a misunderstanding that Umrah Visa penalty has been removed therefore the Umrah Visa should also be cheaper but this is not the case here! The Saudi Ministry has increased Umrah Visa fees for everyone where he is going for the first time or a repeat Umrah Haji.
گزشتہ سال کے مقابلے عمرے کے ویزوں کی قیمتیں تقریباً 6 گنا بڑھ گئی ہیں جس کی وجہ شرح تبادلہ (پاکستانی روپے کے مقابلے امریکی ڈالر کی قدر میں اضافہ ہوا ہے) اور سعودی وزارت کی جانب سے ویزا کی قیمتوں میں بھی اضافہ ہوا ہے۔ یہ غلط فہمی ہے کہ عمرہ ویزہ کا جرمانہ ختم کر دیا گیا ہے اس لیے عمرہ ویزا بھی سستا ہونا چاہیے لیکن یہاں ایسا نہیں ہے! سعودی وزارت نے ہر اس شخص کے لیے عمرہ ویزا فیس میں اضافہ کر دیا ہے جہاں وہ پہلی بار جا رہا ہے یا دوبارہ عمرہ کرنے والا ہے۔
